Liv-isms, Quirks and Happenings!

Liv seriously has the goofiest, sweetest personality. She's so quirky and definitely dances to the beat of her own drum! haha. She keeps us laughing all day long. She's a happy girl that really takes in every moment and is always thinking. She's very thoughtful, purpose driven and truly CARES if someone is upset. When she doesn't get what she wants she'll LET YOU KNOW she doesn't agree but tends to get over things pretty quickly.  For the most part she's happy-go-lucky girl who seems to glide through life effortlessly with a smile.

I wanted to make sure and write down some of our favorite Liv-isms so we can be sure to remember every one of them! Unfortunately I started this post MONTHS ago so most of these are no longer said or done as she's growing up way too fast!!! I still want to keep track of these so we can look back later and remember all our favorite things.

Whenever she does something (even tiny, easy things) she yells at the top of her lungs, "I DID IT!!!!!!!" Sometimes she even takes credit for things she doesn't do. (still does this)

She calls milk "Ga" (sounds like Gu similar to the sound of saying the name Gus). When you tell her to say milk with an M, we say, "Ma Ma Ma MILK!!!" and she says, "Ma Ma Ma GA!!!!!" in defiance! (no longer does this)

She calls chocolate pudding "Chochy Pubbing". (no longer does this)

Bunnies are big right now and she calls them "bubbies". She got a new bunny straw cup for her milk for Easter and is obsessed with it. Since she still calls milk "Ga", she calls it "Bubbie Ga". It's really cute. Also, she loves those Annie's brand bunny crackers. She calls them "Cookie Bubbies". (no longer does this. She says bunnies now and loves to watch them hop around the back yard)

When she goes to bed she HAS TO HAVE her two "teddy books" with her. You can see them in the Easter morning picture as she carries them down from bed with her every morning. They are currently her prized possessions. (no longer a requirement. They are in there. But I think she's over them. Bunny and teddy are still around too)

Right around the time she turned two she has become EXTREMELY SHY around people she doesn't see on a daily basis. She'll put her head down, close her eyes and REFUSE to look up until that person is gone. I think she thinks that if she closes her eyes the person can't see her either. It started out really cute, but is now becoming kind of awkward when she won't even look at family members (ones she doesn't see consistently) AT ALL!! (she no longer does this all the time. She's becoming less shy and more flirty with strangers again. She likes to talk to servers at restaurants and says, "please and thank you" to them. She's definitely coming back out of her shell)

No matter what my dad says, Liv laughs, shakes her head and says, "Silly papa".  It's like she can NEVER take him seriously. It's so cute. My dad loves it!

We say our prayers together (all three of us) every night when Liv goes to bed. We say the Lord's prayer, list out 15 family/close friends (for record purposes the names are Mommy, Daddy, Livi, baby sister, Nani Papa, Kay Kay, Jo Jo, Ga Ga (annie), Ba Ba, Ga Ga (jane), Papa, Brian, Sandy, Austin, Brookie, Natalie, Dag Rune, Katrina and Kaia) and say our own little thank you's at the end. It's the same order every night. Liv is always really calm and listens while Wes and I say everything and at the end of each part Liv says, "AAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN" (so proud).  Last night Liv decided to say all of it out loud with us. She even said all 15 names by herself in correct order. When she was done she said, "AAAAAAAAAMEN. I DID IT! I said prayers!!!!!" She was SO PROUD. It was so adorable. Wes and I just looked at each other with HUGE SMILES and gave her a HUGE hug and congratulations. It's something we'll always remember.

Liv is very polite. She says please (PWWWEEEEAAAAASE) and ALWAYS says thank you. Adults are always telling me how impressed they are with her manners. They come so naturally to her and I love it. Melts my heart.

She shares REALLY well for a child her age (for the most part) and is very forgiving when other kids push her or take things from her. She's very patient and if another kid has something she wants, she'll grab another toy and try to make a trade rather than stealing it.

She loves saying, "Cool man!" (sounds like Coo Maaaaa. Almost sounds Jamaican. haha)

She sings the alphabet all day every day at the top of her lungs.

She can still sit through an entire mass with us in the pew at church. She sits (and stands) quietly and keeps herself busy coloring and eating snacks. Rarely do we need to take her in the back and walk around with her. She likes to people watch and color using the tiny pencils provided in the pews. Makes us proud she can last a whole hour with us like a big girl!

She sleeps 9 pm (sometimes doesn't fall asleep until almost 10 as she's too busy singing and saying her prayers over and over again) to 8:15 am. She naps from 1:30 to 4 almost every day (she's been taking a day off here and there).

Kaia is still her BESTEST FRIEND IN THE WHOLE WORLD. Liv talks about her all day and is always so excited every time we see her.  She SCREAMS, "KAIA" "NINA" (what she calls Katrina) at the top of her lungs and jumps up and down whenever we all hang out. It's definitely in the top 5 of things that make her that excited. The girls are starting to play together more and it's so cute to see their little imaginations at work.

She's very creative and artistic. She loves to draw, create, make funny faces and dance.

We love this girl so much and can't wait to see how she's going to make us laugh next!

Oh I love this age! Braden does the proud "I DID IT!" too. It's amazing the little memories that they have! Braden can sing "This Is The Day" and it's so so so cute!
