9 Months Old!

My baby is 9 months old!!! (I'm a little late on this because we had our computer in the shop)

Our little missy is growing and growing! Her 9 month checkup went great! My favorite memory was of Liv standing on the pad (the one they typically sit or lay on when doc is checking them out) holding the top of the mirror and bending down to see her face (she was a good head taller than the mirror). She would do a squat to see her face and would give herself a kiss. She did this over and over again. Kissing the mirror, licking the mirror, laughing at the mirror and so on. It was hilarious! She really thought she was cute. I WISH we caught a video of it.

Stats:
23 lbs 12 oz - 97-100 percentile
29 inches long - 97-100 percentile (she mis-measured this last time by quite a bit. It annoyed me but I didn't want to make her do it again)

She's still a big girl, growing perfectly!

Liv, you have changed so much in the last month. You are becoming more of a toddler than a baby. We're so excited to continue to watch you learn and grow!

New things this month:
- Your new favorite word is do (pronounced doe doe doe). We think you are trying to say doggie. It's too cute.
- You have been crawling for a month and a half and are comfortable standing without holding anything for a good 10 - 15 seconds. It's almost like you don't realize you are standing without holding anything and then all of a sudden you realize and you freak out and sit.
- You are easily walking along furniture on your own. You LOVE to stand at the ottoman and watch me in the kitchen. Your other new favorite spot is pulling up on the window in the living room. You bring a toy with you and hang out looking at the trees and talking (you also love to tap things on the window to make the sound).
- The doctor was very impressed with your coordination.
- Can climb the whole staircase with no help. (We follow closely behind of course)
- You had your first cold this month. You were a trooper though. Never stopped sleeping through the night. Just a little fussy during the day. Luckily it only lasted about 4 days and you were back!
- You are now in a "big girl" car seat. No more infant seat for you. Tear.
- You're eating more and more table food. Mommy and daddy are still psycho about what we give you because we are SO SCARED of you choking.
- You've started to point to things you want. You don't do it all the time, but when you do, we are very impressed (doctor told us that's something you look for when they are 1)
- You know who mama, dada and doggie are.
- You now have teeth! You got all three teeth this month! The fourth is about to poke through. Phew!

We love you! Keep making us proud. :)
