9 Months OLD!!!! WHAT? I'm LOVING this age. It's seriously the best. She's my little spark plug and gives me all the snuggles, hugs and kisses I could ever want! We are so very lucky.
- She's the happiest when i'm holding her. She's a lot better about going off and exploring alone and playing with toys; but she rarely goes longer than 10 minutes before she checks in for a kiss and a hug before she heads out again.
- She's obsessed with smelling me still (which is my favorite thing in the whole world! Moms are so lucky to have that attachment to their babies). She will stick her nose/face as hard as she can into my cheek, chest, arm, etc. and take a BIG BREATH in and makes this sound that you make when you are so relieved. Like, "OH THANK GOD. This is AMAZING!" It is literally my favorite thing in the whole world.
- She also does the smelling/relieved breathing thing with her blanky. She loves to stick her face in her blanket and breath it in. In fact she falls asleep with that blanket either covering her face or face down in it. No binkies or thumbs for this girl. She just wants her blanket.
- She squeals and squeaks around when she wants attention or is fussy. Some days that sound is like a piercing drill into our brains by the end of the day. haahahaha
- She WILL chase you down when she wants you and she WILL find you
- She's obsessed with shredded cheese. She still loves puffs and mum mums too.
- She is more of a savory girl than sweet. She would rather have veggies/meat baby food than fruit.
- She FINALLY loves eating food. She has panic attacks in between bites because I can't get it on the spoon and into her mouth fast enough. Her feet kick and she pants! It's hilarious. She'll finish two jars of Earth's Best baby food in one sitting no problem.
- She wants to walk so bad but doesn't have the balance thing down yet. She walks along furniture and is always standing holding on to something.
- She can stand all by herself for a few seconds before she loses balance.
- She sleeps about 12 hrs a night (8 pm - 7:30/8 am) 2 naps. morning nap is an hour. Afternoon nap is 1.5-2 hours.
- Still no teeth but you can see them trying to come in.
- She can quickly climb the whole staircase.
- She has crazy hair
- She gets so excited to see Liv. They not only play well together, they also play separately but next to each other all the time. Colette seems bored when liv is at school. She looks around like, "What do I do now? This is lame!"
- She follows liv everywhere (which is cool with Liv most of the time)
- She has less regard for toys/objects in her way and will just power through them.
- She is more tough when it comes to Liv being a little rough with her. She holds her own more. She will push Liv to get to Wes or me.
- still says "nigh nigh" (night night) when she's really tired
- She started to be more aware that others are not me and won't let just anyone hold her anymore.
- She seems to be pretty good at just going with the flow of the family.
- She has what we call a diaper/undies fetish. Sounds gross but it's hilarious. She grabs Liv's clean undies out of this caddy we keep them in and smells them like they are her blanky. It's hilarious.
- She is starting to dance to music (especially with liv). She will go over to the exersaucer, stand up and push the button until the songs come on so she can dance. As soon as the song starts she whips her head around to find us and has huge smile on her face.
- She has started fighting diaper changes more and more. She still hates to get dressed.

She's an inch longer than Liv was at this age and just over three pounds lighter.
