7 Months!

Our little sparky is 7 months old! I can't believe we are closer to 1 than being a newborn! It's insane how fast the time flies!!! She's still our little spark plug and keeps us on our toes! She's truly the sweetest little thing and is filled with smiles. This month was spent perfecting her strong sitting skills, getting from laying to sitting and crawling/pushing backwards. You can tell she's DYING to get to far off places. It's killing her being stuck rocking back and forth on all fours. She gets so excited that she'll go backwards, but that just makes her frustrated because she wants to go forward. She's also started trying to pull up on things! This week I looked at her video monitor and saw her sitting up grabbing the top of the crib while trying to pull up! Uh Oh!!! The crib was immediately lowered. She's our busy girl and to be honest I'm nervous for when she actually gets going. I'm never going to sit again! haha She's literally going to do it any day now. She's so close! 

Here's a little bit about our 7 month old:

- She thinks it's hilarious to make this fake cough sound. She also says, "NA NA NA NA" (NA as in NAP) a lot too.

- can go from stomach to sitting and back (when she goes from sitting to stomach she walks her arms forward as if she was crawling so she's sooo close)

- sits really well and has for a month or so

- rocks back and forth on all fours

- pushes herself backwards. She will end up on the opposite side of the room from all the sliding, rolling and pushing around.

- still no teeth

- sleeps through night but this month she had two weeks where she woke up every night for two hours AND wouldn't take more than a 30 minute nap three times a day. That was a rough couple of weeks!!!! THANKFULLY she's fully out of that weird phase and is back to sleeping through the night (8:30/9 to 7:30) and taking three naps a day. 

- She's seriously so smiley. She lights up a room.

- says bye bye (by waving her arm) and no no (by shaking her head back and forth). She won't do this 100% of the time. Just whenever she feels like impressing someone!

- can clap with toys in hand. She loves to clap with two hard toys so it makes a sound.

- looooovvveeess her sister and you can tell she is DYING to follow her around. She LIGHTS UP and immediately starts laughing when Liv walks into the room.

- She's my snuggler. Liv wanted down to play a lot more at this age. Colette loves to be down but I would say she loves being held just as much. She likes attention to be on her!

- She still doesn't care for baby food. In the last couple of days she's started to take a liking to avocado and mushed up banana. It's a start!

- She has this hilarious laugh. It reminds me of like Urkel

- She gets so excited sometimes that her whole body flies backwards (has always done this) in a big jerking motion.

- She's enjoying going on my long walks/runs in stroller. She just spaces out and watches the scenery around her. She also catches a snooze sometimes too.

- She really loves to sit like a big girl in the bath and play with the toys. She cries when I take her out.

- I literally want to eat her face. She's just so dang cute.

- All her toes are the same length just like mine.

- She's still so alert! When she hears a new sound or someone new walks in she WHIPS herself around so fast.

- Sometimes when she's fussy, I'll take her pants off and she will instantly be in a better mood! haha She's like her sister! ;)

I mean...

Here's our sparky! CHECK OUT THIS HAIR!!! It seriously has a mind of its own and won't sit flat!! So funny. 

I had to document this hair before it gets too long and eventually lays flat. 

She's got some moves!

Ugh I can't get enough!

We love our girl! Can't wait to see what she does next!
